Fun Birthday Week!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes and thoughtful gifts.  I enjoyed my birthday week.  Next birthday coming up is Yuna's.  Happy birthday tomorrow, Yuna!
One of my favorite birthday gifts I received, I gave to myself!  I weighed in on Wednesday (Feb. 3) and had finally made goal.  I am now free at Weight Watchers--as long as I keep the weight off, of course.  Adrienne made me lunch on my birthday --it was a very healthy vegetable and couscous dish with a little sausage in it.  Afterward, however, she gave me a huge chocolate éclair--from Harmon's--my favorite.  She gave me one for Roy and one for Caitlyn, too.  We also got to enjoy the boys for a little while.

Later, Roy offered to take me to Benihana's (we have a birthday coupon).  I wasn't terribly hungry after that delicious éclair, and I knew if I went out to eat I would have to pay for another month at Weight Watchers, so I asked for an omelet instead, which he made for me.  It felt really good to get back to my goal weight.  It's easier when you're already a lifetime member, which I am.  If I were getting lifetime for the first time, I'd have to keep my weight off for six weeks before obtaining the status.  I'd still like to lose 5 - 10 more lbs. so it's not nip and tuck every month when I weigh in.
I also enjoyed a couple of wonderful massages, some beautiful piano music, flowers, a little chocolate, and dinner out on Friday night, as well as a couple of gifts I received early.  Thanks, everyone.

Another fun "birthday" activity was Caitlyn's concert with the Davis Youth Orchestra.  She got to sit front and center this time.

I've definitely been spoiled by Roy this week.   Friday evening, after an afternoon at the Temple, we went to a play at the Centerpoint Legacy theater (The Foreigner).  It was a fun play and brought back great memories as we had presented that play in our theater in Atlanta.  Afterwards we enjoyed dinner at Tuchanos.

Saturday we enjoyed lots of family at the family shower for Patti Cook.  We are so excited for her.  It was really fun to share their joy with all of the family members that were able to come to the shower.  Glenn and Rosilene were there, which is always special.  Also, Dave and Becky, Phil and Char, Christine and Steve, and numerous others representing almost all of my siblings families. It's fun that Emily and Taylor are now in Utah.  I suspect we may see more of their parents now that they have two children living here.  The pictures below are courtesy of Glenn.  Note that there are no pictures of him--or of his wife.

After the shower Roy and I headed up to Midway to spend the night at the Zermott (also for my birthday :) where we enjoyed that 2nd massage and some ice sculptures.
This one is by the Heber Dairy.  See the sprinkler coming out on top.
Keep Adrienne and AJ in your prayers.  On top of everything else, Finn now has the croup,
